Smil: Interactive Multimedia on the Web

SMIL is the W3C standard for multimedia presentations on the web. This is a reference and how-to guide for this new topic. It covers the new version SMIL 2.0 and the CD-ROM contains all example code, a SMIL presentation and a fully working version of one of the leading SMIL players. This book and the code listings are four colours enabling the reader to identify the different aspects of the presentation that the code relates: media, layout, timing, thinking, linking and adaptivity. The running case study allows the reader to build a SMIL presentation as they work through the book.
