LANtastic is a network operating system which differs from other LANS in that it is a peer-to-peer network which uses no server. This book provides a basic introduction for users and administrators to LANtastic network operating software, containing a complete discussion on installation, including hardware and software requirements, and programming instructions. It also covers several of the supporting products, such as LANtastic for Windows, and discusses the two main competitors of the product - NOVELLNetWare and MicrosoftLAN Manager. The book assumes no prior network experience.
