This book is about the action of drugs on the body. It is divided into three parts. Part 1 relates drug treatment to normal and abnormal physiology to bring out the principles involved. Part 2 covers the basic principles underlying the way drugs act on the body and vice versa, including poisoning. It also gives information about drug development and clinical trials. The final part covers drug reactions of clinical importance, and the effects of drugs on the liver, kidney, and pregnant women. This book is intended for medical students and pharmacy students.
