For the Love of Mike

This is the follow up to "One More Time: The Best of Mike Royko". This second collection includes more than a hundred vintage Royko journalistic pieces, such as his riffs on the consequences of accepting a White House dinner invitation; his explaination of the notorious Ex-Cub factor in World Series play; and his befuddlement at a private screening of "Beyond The Valley of The Dolls". These pieces also illuminate Royko's favourite themes, topics he continually returned to: his skewering of cultural trend; his love of Chicago; and his rage against injustice.
