Peter Roy was born in 1939 in Chatham, England; parents an itinerant fishmonger and a melancholic.
After surviving thirteen diverse schools he was apprenticed at 16 to a Dickensian accountant. Upon qualification as a Chartered Accountant Peter worked mainly in the advertising and entertainment industries.
At 58, he decided to try for a better quality of life by moving, lock stock and barrel, to the beautiful island of Madeira.
He now lives in New South Wales, Australia.
