Interoperability in IoT for Smart Systems

Dr. Monideepa Roy did her master's in mathematics from IIT Kharagpur, and her PhD in CSE from Jadavpur University. Currently she is working as an Associate Professor at KIIT Deemed University, Bhubaneswar since the last seven years. Her areas of interest include Wireless Networks, Mobile Computing and WSNs, and Cognitive WSNs, machine learning, remote sensing, artificial neural networks and combinatorics. At present she has five research scholars working with her in these areas. She has several publications in conferences and journals. She has been the Organizing Chair of the first two editions of the International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Networks CINE 2015 and 2016, International Conference on Mathematics and Computing (ICMC 2019). She has also organized several workshops and seminars. She has successfully completed an MeiTy sponsored five-year project on Remote Healthcare as the Principal Investigator.
Dr. Pushpendu Kar is an Assistant Professor in School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China since March 2019. Prior to this, he was a Research Fellow in the Department of ICT and Natural Sciences at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway, a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at National University of Singapore (NUS) and in the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Dr. Kar has completed all his PhD, Master of Engineering, and Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering. He has also completed Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) 5.0, one professional course on Hardware & Networking, two professional courses on JAVA-J2EE, Finishing School Program from National Institute of Technology Durgapur, India and UGC sponsored refreshers course from Jadavpur University, India. Dr. Kar went for a research visit to Inria Paris, France. Dr. Kar was awarded the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Postdoctoral Fellowship of European Commission, ERCIM Alain Bensoussan Fellowship of European Union, and SERB OPD Fellowship of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. He has received many travel grants to attend conferences and doctoral colloquiums. Dr. Kar has more than 9 years of teaching, research, and industrial experiences including in a couple of highly reputed organizations around the world. He has worked as a software professional in IBM for one and half years. Dr. Kar is the author of more than 30 scholarly research papers, which has published in reputed journals including ACM TAAS, IEEE TNSM, IEEE Systems Journal, IEEE Sensors Journal, Journal of Building and Environment, conferences including ICC, TENCON, IECON, PEDS and IT magazines. He is also inventor of four patents. He has participated in the program committee of several conferences, worked as a team member to organize short-term courses, and delivered few invited talks. He is a regular reviewer of IEEE, Elsevier, Wiley, and Springer journals and conferences.
Mr. Sujoy Datta has done B Tech from Burdwan University. He has done his M. Sc. and M.Tech. from IIT Kharagpur in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed University since the last seven years. His areas of research include probability, wireless networks, security, Threshold cryptography and neural networks and PAC Learning. He has several publications in various conferences and journals. He has co-organized several workshops and international conferences, CINE 2015, ICMC 2019.
