Description
The second exciting adventure in a brand new pony series set in an elite equestrian boarding school from rising star J. P. Rose.
Welcome to Paddock Grove, a boarding school for the best, providing equestrians of tomorrow with state-of-the-art facilities and world-class tuition in everything from stable management to competitive riding.
Katie is delighted to be selected as the captain for Paddock Grove's under-14 equestrian team in the county competition. She and her horse, Sheriff, are a great duo and she's excited to prove this in the arena and on the cross country course. But when the competition starts, strange things start to go wrong around the stables. At first Katie suspects mean-girl Megan who's been banned from competing, but as the 'pranks' start to escalate, she starts to believe that someone on one of the other teams might be trying to sabotage Paddock Grove's chances by playing tricks on their team captain. If she can't find the culprit, they might run her and Sheriff out of the competition altogether...

J. P. Rose writes for both adults and children, and has been shortlisted for several awards, including the Branford Boase Award for her debut children's novel The Haunting of Tyrese Walker. As a child she fell in love with ponies, was an avid rider and dreamed of having her own horse. Now, as an adult, she's lucky enough to have three magical unicorns of her very own, Apache, Boo and Monarch.
