Dr Nils Roemer is Dean of the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology, USA and Director of the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies at the University of Texas (UT) at Dallas, USA. He holds distinguished chairs in Holocaust Studies and is an internationally recognized scholar of German-Jewish history, modern Europe, and Holocaust memory. A Columbia PhD, Dr Roemer has authored and edited numerous publications, and his leadership bridges academic excellence with public engagement in Holocaust education and remembrance.Dr Mehak Burza is the Program Coordinator for Online Global Initiatives at the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies, UT Dallas. She serves on the board of Teach the Shoah and is involved in Holocaust storytelling and interfaith outreach. Her PhD explored gendered responses to Holocaust trauma and memory. A former assistant professor (guest) at the University of Delhi, India, she has also been a scholar-in-residence at Oxford, UK. Dr Burza regularly organizes international conferences and publishes in both national and global forums.
