Considerations Regarding Turning Costs

In the market, there are still several companies that are not concerned with optimizing their processes. This work consists of demonstrating the economic parameters in Ferritic Stainless Steel Turning. As the search for production efficiency is one of the main goals of any business, a much clearer and more explanatory analysis of the mechanisms that determine this ideal situation is necessary. A general analysis is also made of the characteristics of Ferritic Stainless Steel, more specifically ACE P439A, showing specific properties, forms of treatment, main applications, and economic advantages over other steels. To observe economic conditions, several machining variables are used, some of which are entirely empirical, while others are specific to the machined materials. However, the most important unknown is the cutting speed, to which all others are related, as is present in most equations. Thus, this work highlights all these relationships between economic parameters and cutting speed.
