Jack Knight, the current holder of the Cosmic Rod, was not the first Starman; there was Jack's brother, David; a castaway from the stars called Mikaal; Gavyn, the prince of a distant galactic empire; and, of course, Jack's father, Ted Knight - the first Starman.
