She has written over 50 books for children, and her stories have won a Sainsbury's Children's Book Award, a Lollies Award, and been shortlisted for the BookTrust Storytime Prize. Michelle was selected to be the BookTrust writer in residence 2023/2024. She now lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her husband, son and daughter.

Apart from making art and illustrating books, he enjoys building model airplanes, learning to cook, travelling and going on hikes, and reading good books in his spare time.
