Salvation in the Dark
Description
Evelyn "Evie" Thorne was not meant to fall in love with a demon.
When her older brother, Roman, disappears, the 34-year-old academic traces his steps back to the LaRue Pentavirate, a dangerous coven that has been sacrificing demons for years in exchange for their power. Believing they know what happened to him, she joins the coven and commits to doing whatever it takes to learn the truth about his involvement.
When they ask her for a demonic soul, she agrees and conjures one by the name of Caligo, a handsome devil with chrome horns and wings reminiscent of weathered steel. Unbeknownst to her, it had been foretold she would call on him
Each of them sees the other as a way inside the warded sanctum walls, and with a cut of her knife, they vow to take down the coven together. Yet as Evie digs deeper from within, she endures further harm by the abusive casters, and Caligo's growing protectiveness confuses them both. Soon, the boundaries of their relationship are blurred and nights together are much warmer than before.
Now, both lives and hearts are both on the line.
When Evie is seriously hurt, Caligo can no longer sit idly by. Working with a friend of the Queen of Demons, they prepare to take their fight to the coven. However, they quickly discover getting inside was the easy part, and the rest of their plan has gone to Hell.
Read the story of Evie and Caligo as they find love and Salvation in the Dark.
