Subversive Women

A collection of five books, considered to be too dangerous for wide circulation or republication, that may have been kept out of print for moral, political and private reasons or even because of the sex of their author. They are now being reprinted or even published for the first time. These radical texts, which traverse the political and social spectrum, have been written by women who have succeeded in subverting the suppressive forces that may have prevented their voices from being heard. What this series intends to do is to reverse the consequences of this process of silencing or censorship which, throughout the centuries, may have banned or banished these writings from ever reaching or taking root in the public domain.
