Reviews / Votes
"Makes a profound, positive impact on the literacy of a whole school population." -- Susan Toscano "An excellent contribution to education. Any principal or superintendent who could select only one program to resolve a 'failing' school's problems would be wise to choose this book. It is research based, definitive, and practical, as well as reasonably easy to implement. Furthermore, it should produce immediate and long-lasting results." * The Educational Forum, Kappa Delta Pi * "The most important assumption . . . is that every child can learn. The book . . . should certainly find a place in all school libraries and the programs tried out especially by schools meant for the economically backward." -- "The Hindu," January 22, 2002 "One Million Children chronicles [reading] programs, giving the reader probably the best single-volume overview of 'Success For All.'" -- P. M. Socoski, University of Florida * CHOICE, 2001 *More details
