Description
This was the first book dedicated solely to the diagnosis and management of vulval disease and, despite the appearance of one or two other books on the subject, remains the most comprehensive. In this new edition, the Editors have shortened the embryology chapter to cover only the most clinically relevant details, updated the physiology section and included more histology. The chapter on examination has been re-written to give more direct guidance as to technique. The chapter on non-infective and non-neoplastic conditions has been considerably enlarged and divided into smaller chapters on more focused topics and the surgical treatment chapter now gives more perspective of the role of the various techniques in the overall management of vulvar disease. Also, there is a new chapter on vulvodynia which is an almost entirely new subject since the last edition.
