As a young girl, Sheree started writing journals and poetry. Her career in advertising began when she worked for a local newspaper, then as an account supervisor and, subsequently, as the head of a full-service advertising, marketing, and promotion firm, where she won recognition for excellence as a commercial writer and producer. After more than a decade of writing for television, radio, and print advertising, Sheree continued her love of writing by self-publishing her first three books, all of which were of different genres. In keeping with her insatiability for variety, "Dixie the Rescue Dog Makes New Friends" is Sheree's first entry into writing children's books. She has dedicated Dixie the Rescue Dog books toward increasing the awareness of no-kill animal shelters nationwide. Sheree volunteers her time and talents to The Pat Conroy Literary Center and is a member of the South Carolina Writers Association and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
