Naomi Tillman is a restless dreamer. She spends her free time musing about a life filled with adventure and imagining what a love story of her own might look like someday. She also happens to be a self-proclaimed people-pleaser, finding it nearly impossible to say no to anyone. An unfortunate incident leaves her feeling discouraged and determined to become comfortable standing up to her overbearing father and gain the courage to start her own baking business. Robbie Leery lives his life on a whim. A quintessential chaotic artist who flies by the seat of his pants. He travels the country playing shows with his band, only stopping in his hometown-also the city he despises most in the entire world-Pine Falls, Minnesota, for a day or two at a time. However, when his best friend, Naomi, needs his help, he doesn't hesitate to jump right in-even when that includes offering to be her fake boyfriend. And so begins Operation Make Naomi a Boss. A series of lessons Robbie curates to help Naomi get comfortable standing up for herself. What neither of them anticipates, however, is how the project will end up being a catalyst to changing both of their lives forever-in more ways than one. Will Robbie's unexpected feelings for Naomi help to soften his heart to Pine Falls enough to want to stay?
