This CD-ROM intends to make the calculation of damages calculations quicker and more accurate. Updated twice a year, it contains a set of calculators, each with explanatory notes discussing the legal principles behind the calculations. When appropriate, they are referenced to the authorities and accompanied by comprehensive guidance to ensure nothing is omitted. Also included is an inflation table based on the monthly Retail Price Index and a calendar. The "Toolkit" takes into account interest rates, tax rates, RPI and actuarial data, which should help practitioners make the following calculations more efficiently: simple and compound interest; income tax liability; special investment account interest; judgment act interest; interim payments; interest on general damages; life expectancy; Ogden multipliers; multipliers for future loss; and Duxbury method calculations amongst others.
