Description
Various leading British artists, including Simon Lewty, Andy Goldsworthy, Adrian Berg and Brenda Neiland, portray the spectacular landscapes within 11 of the country's National Parks. The accompanying text explores the archaeology, history, agriculture, botany and wildlife of each park. There is also an historical essay which considers people's constantly evolving attitudes to and perceptions of the landscape. Each of the National Parks covered in this volume is given a separate chapter, and contains works of art by a minimum of two artists, together with their comments on the parks and the inspiration behind each picture.
