John Cech has been a professor of children's literature at the University of Florida in Gainesville for the past 30 years and is the director of the Center for Children's Literature and Culture. He received the Chandler Award of Merit for his work in Children's Literature. Cech is the author of the first six books in the Classic Fairy Tale Collection, as well as Sterling's Aesop's Fables (9781402752988) and The Nutcracker (9781402755620). Fiona Sansom studied illustration at Kingston University, graduating with a BA in 2004. She is a full-time freelance illustrator and her work appears in the Kingston Museum's Brill Collection.
