Dr. G. P. Ramesh is currently serving as Head of Innovation & IPR and Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at RMK College of Engineering and Technology, India. He completed his Bachelors and Masters in Engineering during 1996 and 1998 respectively and was awarded a Ph.D during 2019 from Anna University, Chennai, India. He has 27 years of academic experience with multitasking capabilities. Dr. G.P. Ramesh has mentored undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral scholars, successfully guided eight Ph.D. candidates. He has also actively worked as organizing chair/Convener/coordinator for various National/International level Events, Faculty Development Programs, workshops conducted in association with professional bodies. He has Four Indian patents under his name. His expertise spans Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Wireless Communication, Antenna Design, VLSI Design, Networking and Applied Electronics with impactful contributions to both academia and applied research.
Santos Kumar Das, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India is a seasoned R&D professional with over 23 years of experience spanning both industry and academia. He has served more than 16 years at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, including a decade post-Ph.D., and has seven years of prior experience in the software and embedded systems industry. Currently, he holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIT Rourkela.
He earned his Master's degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and completed his Ph.D. at NIT Rourkela, focusing on "Quality of Service Estimation for Optical Virtual Private Networks over WDM/DWDM Networks." His research interests include the Internet of Things (IoT), sensor networking, optical networking (LiFi, FSO), embedded systems, and software-defined networking (SDN).
Dr. Das briefly served as an adjunct faculty member at San Diego State University (SDSU), California, USA, where he taught a module on Software Defined Networks.
He has successfully guided over 58 B.Tech and 53 M.Tech dissertations and supervised 14 Ph.D. scholars across diverse domains such as optical networks, UAVs, radar systems, AI/ML, and embedded systems. He currently supervises 8 ongoing Ph.D. scholars. Dr. Das has published over 62 journal articles, 62 international conference papers, 21 book chapters, and two edited books. He holds 11 granted patents, with additional filings underway.
He has completed multiple high-impact sponsored projects, including two major ones under IMPRINT and DRDO, and is currently leading or contributing to several others funded by ANRF, DST, MeitY, and industry partners. Additionally, he has been involved in several consultancy projects in the mining and industrial sectors.
Dr. Das is the founder of Ewarn System Pvt. Ltd., a start-up incubated at NIT Rourkela and CV Raman Global University, Bhubaneswar. The company develops IoT- and AI/ML-based solutions for industrial automation and academic lab applications.
Xiangjie Kong is currently a Full Professor in the College of Computer Science & Technology, Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT), China. Previously, he was an Associate Professor in School of Software, Dalian University of Technology (DUT), China, where he was the Head of the Department of Cyber Engineering. He is the Founding Director of City Science of Social Computing Lab (The CSSC Lab). He is/was on the Editorial Boards of 6 International journals. He has served as the General Co-Chair, Workshop Chair, Publicity Chair or Program Committee Member of over 30 conferences. Dr. Kong has authored/co-authored over 140 scientific papers in international journals and conferences. Dr. Kong received IEEE Vehicular Technology Society 2020 Best Land Transportation Paper Award, and The Natural Science Fund of Zhejiang Province for Distinguished Young Scholars. He has been invited as Keynote Speaker at 2 international conferences, and delivered a number of Invited Talks at international conferences and many universities worldwide. His research interests include big data, network science, and computational social science. He is a Distinguished Member of CCF, a Senior Member of IEEE, a Full Member of Sigma Xi, and a Member of ACM.
