Satellite Broadcasting

The primary function of this book is to discuss the current state of satellite broadcasting, but it also includes historical background and information about future developments. The book covers a range of subjects within the field of direct broadcasting by satellite. It does not pretend to give comprehensive information about any particular field, but aims to give a basic understanding to those who are unfamiliar either with the whole area of direct broadcasting by satellite, or with a smaller field within that area. Both groups of readers will be helped by the fact that each chapter stands alone, and can be read separately from the others. Extensive reference lists can be found at the end of each chapter, to enable those readers who wish to enlarge their knowledge of a particular subject to do so.
