This book provides background information and practical advice for those in middle management who are involved in developing and implementing policy for people in the workplace. The contents are culled from a range of experiences, and all the contributors write from a knowledge of this scene. Information sources for in-depth advice and guidance are given. The first section gives an overview of the issues affecting relationships in the workplace, such as race, gender and harmonization. The second section illustrates how these developments are reflected in current trades union thinking and policies.
