Description
The present and future problem in the field of prosthesis pertains to the preservation of the denture supporting structures. The requirement of a successful denture is demanding. To fulfill this requirement the prosthodontist need to have a knowledge of the functions and vital process of the body. Various authors have presented different approaches to the preservation of the residual alveolar ridges, still there was no ideal preventive treatment procedure. The reason for this is, RRR is a multifactorial disease entity and the difficulties in studying RRR. More research in RRR with new methods and new thinking are badly needed in order to provide the best possible oral health care for million of edentulous patients.
