Holy Shocking Saints
Description
From fighting sea monsters to shapeshifting, these twelve saints were brave, daring and sometimes downright shocking.
Meet Brigid, whose cloak spread over the whole of Ireland; Brendan, who discovered America; Lí Ban, the mermaid saint who lived beneath the waves for three hundred years; and Patrick, who drove the snakes from Ireland and stood up to powerful kings.
Holy Shocking Saints brings history and legend to life with exciting stories, amazing facts and delightful watercolour illustrations. Crammed with facts that will not only make you think about Irish saints differently but also understand how their legacy can still be seen in Ireland today.
