After leaving his job teaching English, Ron Querry, who is of Choctaw descent, took up ranching in New Mexico. This is a humorous account of his adventures in the latter-day West - from marrying the lady rancher next door to learning how to deal with stubborn cattle, horses, dogs, and tumbleweed.
