Description
The fourth volume in the popular Biblical Explorations series, from bestselling author Paula Gooder, explores one of the most widely used and loved Old Testament books, the Psalms. Written over a period of 500 years, they give unbridled voice to every human emotion, were quoted by Jesus and featured in daily worship in Jewish and Christian liturgy to this day.
Biblical languages expert Paula Gooder offers a fresh translation of each of the 150 Psalms and provides commentary on them as well as an overview of the whole Psalter.
Learned yet accessible, the Biblical Explorations series is for everyone who wishes to gain a fuller understanding of the Bible. Rooted in the principle that greater understanding leads to more authentic devotion, it is invaluable for preachers, worship and study group leaders.
