In addition to his writing, Ron co-founded two computer book publishing companies, designed and programmed a database system for a Phoenix medical facility, and served as instructional design consultant for National Computer Systems. He recently completed ActiveEducation's XML Comprehensive online course and currently is an XML columnist with IBM's DeveloperWorks magazine.
