Description
From the author of "The Monkey Man" and "The Christmas Club" comes this witty and satirical novel set in the glamourous world of film-making. Twenty four year-old actress Annalise Palatine is getting her big break, in a Hollywood blockbuster opposite international film star Harry Emerson. However, it immediately becomes apparent that Emerson wants more from her than just her screen presence; the director is a lecherous Swede and, worst of all, she can't get under the skin of her part. Manipulated by forces she hasn't reckoned with, a shocking development in her private life adds to the pressure; more and more, she retreats into her unhappy past, plagued by haunting childhood memories and feelings for her dead father. But sometimes the ghosts from the past can take on very strange forms indeed.
