It is designed as a companion volume to the widely acclaimed A New Reference Grammar of Modern Spanish by John Butt and Carmen Benjamin, but it can also be used on its own by anyone wishing to improve their proficiency in Spanish. The exercises are graded in terms of difficulty as follows:
