Science Activities

This series provides practical dip-in activities to support the new 'early learning goals'. The ideas will provide a collection of quick-to-use timed activities with supporting photocopiables ( to include activity sheets, poems, stories and songs). SCIENCE IDEAS will provide a wide range of activities intended to introduce science in contexts based on young children's day-to-day experiences. Divided into 6 chapters - science in the kitchen, in my town, in the toy cupboard, in the garden, in the park and my friends and me - each 8 pages long, the activities include finding out about floating and sinking, looking at pushes and pulls and investigating sound and light. A total of 24 photocopiables provide additional support with sheets to teach key science words, grouping and sorting activities,poems and stories and templates.
