Heart failure is an important disorder with high prevalence and poor prognosis. Heart failure management is less "dramatic" than some interventions for acute ischaemic syndromes, and much treatment suboptimal; these, combined with the poor prognosis, make many doctors uncomfortable in managing patients with heart failure.
