PASTOR SAM POLSON is the Lead Pastor of West Park Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for ABWE, the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism, and is actively involved in ministry leadership training worldwide. Sam also serves as the board chairman for CedarBrook Outreach, a ministry focusing on the physical, social, and spiritual needs of at-risk families in Knoxville, Tennessee. Previously, he served for many years on the Board of Shepherds Ministries, an educational ministry for adults with developmental disabilities. Sam was born and raised in New Castle, Indiana, where he met and married his wife, Susan. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in theology from Bob Jones University and then served seven years as an assistant pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Findlay, Ohio. The Polsons moved to Knoxville in 1986, where Sam has served as Lead Pastor for over 36 years. Sam and Susan have three grown children and four grandchildren. Sam advises the pastoral team and staff, teaches in large and small group settings, and is the most energized by witnessing people come alive to the reality of the gospel. Sam Polson's other books include: In His Image, By Faith, SonLight (a daily devotional), Corona Victus: Conquering the Virus of Fear, and Life Changing Prayer."For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake" (2 Cor. 4:5).
