Description
In 2006, as part of the Institut National de l'Audiovisuel's (INA) major heritage interviews conducted with the Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah, Roman Polanski recorded his account of his childhood in Poland during the war, which is reproduced here. It was while writing that he remembered asking his father in 1973 to write his memoirs. Roman Polanski recently rediscovered this account, which he had never read, and which forms the second part, Letters to My Son by Ryszard Polanski, of this unique book, bringing together a father and a son: two moving and enlightening testimonies in terms of historical memory.
