Description
Efforts to tackle the problems of urban decay and disadvantage since 1985 have underlined the complexity of regeneration. For instance, unless improvement strategies include an economic dimension - through training, job creation, support for local enterprise - the benefits of regeration in poor communities will be short-lived. This report explores the scope for collaboration and partnership between training and Enterprise Councils (TECs) and other organizations involved in area regeneration, including social landlords, local authorities, the community and the voluntary sector. All those concerned with making regeneration partnerships work more effectively should find this report interesting.
