Description
Curator Milena Placentile produced No Time to Lose as a response to the systemic decline of personal time experienced in various parts of the world due to increased hours spent working. This publication documents projects by Amy Alexander, Cathy Busby, Anja Hertenberger & Anja Steidinger, Saki Satom, Abigail Schoneboom, and Tobaron Waxman, while texts by Jim Colquhoun, Milena Placentile, Monika Vykoukal, and Toru Yamamori, complement this with a series of perspectives on contemporary working lives and work in relation to visual arts. No Time to Lose draws attention to the unsustainability of social and economic systems that do not afford people sufficient time outside of work. How can we stop living for the economy and by the clock and start living in ways that are more gratifying and equitable?
