Description
Milner Place, the writer of two pamphlet poetry collections, "The Confusion of Anglers" and "Where Smoke Is", has spent much of his life as the skipper of a trading boat, while also writing poetry. This is his first full-length collection. Some of the poems are sea-going yarns, others are set in South America. There are also a handful of character portraits, and a long poem, "Lum Street", based on a row of terraced houses, its tenants and their relationships to each other.
