Five godlike aliens known as The Sentinels arrive on Earth with a warning: a hostile force called The Conquerors is coming, and humanity will not survive without their help. To preserve civilization, the Sentinels secretly appoint Army veteran Eli Evans to lead a colonization mission to a distant planet. His task is to select 1,000 people and 1,000 items to carry humanity's future. But not everyone trusts The Sentinels.
