Steve Piscitelli has more than two decades of teaching experience. He has taught students of varying abilities and grade levels, from seventh grade to the college level. He has been recognized for his effective teaching style with awards at the school, county, and international level. In 2002, Steve received the Florida Community College at Jacksonville Outstanding Faculty Award for innovation in teaching. He is currently a professor of history and education at Florida Community College at Jacksonville.
Steve received an undergraduate degree from Jacksonville University, an M.Ed. from the University of North Florida, and an M.A. (United States history) from the University of Florida.
In addition to this book, he is the author of numerous articles and a history review book for students.
Steve lives with his wife, Laurie, in Atlantic Beach, Florida.
