Description
This interdisciplinary study examines the social foundations of reproductive rights in developing countries. The policy implications of the work are significant as reproductive rights have broad implications for social and health policy. The significance of gender issues in attempting to address reproductive rights is discussed. It is suggested that current approaches which focus solely on fertility control are insufficient to promote reproductive rights of women in developing countries.
