Description
Paignton developed from a small, ancient inland town to a twentieth-century holiday resort. This is a memorial volume to the late Peter Tully who collected a vast archive of illustrations, all of which are now housed by the Torquay Museum. This book includes many of Paignton's well-known landmarks including the harbour, the pier, Coverdale House and the Wigwam. It also details the important part the singer family played in the town. This book will appeal to all who have grown up in Paignton but also to those newcomers, who would like to see their town as it once was.
