Point of View

The point of view from both authors tells you how life can take a turn for better or worse quite unexpectedly. The friend or lover you thought would be there for you can suddenly turn on you; the quiet boy you were somewhat enamored with in high school does not turn out to be who you thought he was. In this myriad of short stories, it is a balanced mix of expectations, and love does not fulfi ll your expectations either. Then, there is the Warrior who turns the tables, a complete 360, and we fi nd out who that person really is in the end. The stories are wrapped in their own emotional gauze where we begin to see through them but are surprised at how they unravel. Take the rising rock star for whom life has already become mundane as we watch him drown his boredom in drugs and alcohol. We feel optimistically enamored by what we deem a success story.
