Reviews / Votes
This will prove a source of huge interest to Ross devotees. Record Collector It's quite an undertaking, given the span of Ross' career, with superfan Ian Phillips exhaustively sourcing quotes from historical interviews and reviews alongside new insights from the likes of former Motown publicist Al Abrams and songwriter Janie Bradford...It's a much-welcome addition to the stack of Ross-ographies for avoiding the well-trodden paths of its predecessors to champion Diana as a trail blazer rather than tabloid fodder. Echoes Ian Phillips takes a detailed, critical approach to her extensive career, looking closely at every music release, major concert and film appearance of the Queen of Motown. It's obviously a must-have for fans and acts as something of a more wordy coffee table piece. Attitude Ian Phillips' 'Diana Ross: Reflections' has the impact of a devoted fan reaching out and reminding us just how wonderful the lady was, and still is. The Beat For both Ross aficionados and Motown fans it's a must-read, page-turner of a book. Soul, Jazz & Funk.com If you're a fan of the diva - as I am - this is the stocking stuffer that you'll need not too long from now. Good TimesMore details
