Description
This study examines postwar industrial development in Greece with particular attention to the role of technological change. The analysis combines study of the national socio-economic structure with a detailed survey of the social relations of work and management patterns in a sample of firms. The focus in the survey is on attitudes to innovation, social processes of skill and expertise acquisition and forms of organisation since these are expected to explain the dynamics of industrial and technological transformation. The nature and role of past and future state policies for industrial and technological change are examined.
