Description
They said prepare for the worst. God said watch what I do.
Seven days after welcoming their firstborn, the Petersons were racing to the emergency room - watching their baby go limp after a sudden brain bleed. A grade 3 hemorrhage. A coma. A question: Is my baby going to die? What followed was a journey no parent could prepare for - blindness, surgery, seizures, months in the hospital, and a medical system that didn't always have answers.
Great Victory is the raw, unflinching memoir of a mother who refused to accept the worst-case scenario - chronicling every miracle, every setback, and every moment God showed up in ways only heaven could explain.
This is not a story with a tidy ending. It's something better - a story still being written. Victory doesn't require a perfect ending. Victory is Christ in the middle of the mess. Whether you're a parent in a hospital room, someone carrying a burden no one else can see, or a person who needs reminding that God has not forgotten you - this book was written with you in mind. Keep fighting. Keep believing. Your great victory is coming.

Klisha Peterson was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. The daughter of Jamaican parents, she is a woman of deep faith whose life has been shaped by her relationship with God and the power of prayer. She is an alumna of "The Fame School," LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where she majored in vocal music. She later received her BA in Communications from The College of New Rochelle. While in high school, Klisha landed her first job in the entertainment industry as a Teen Audience Coordinator for a show called Trackers on Oxygen, which featured celebrity guests. Her high school friend and dancer, Anthony Rue II, held the role before her but had to leave to go on tour. Trusting her to take over, he passed the opportunity on to Klisha-who was just 15 years old at the time. After graduating high school, she worked as a receptionist at MBK Entertainment, the management company behind artists such as Alicia Keys and, more recently, H.E.R. and Brandy. Though she started in an entry-level position, her boss, Jeanine McLean (manager to Omarion), took her under her wing like a little sister and ensured she was included in many of the company's events.A creative at heart, Klisha has been singing her entire life and has pursued acting since 2007. As a teen, she performed on the same stages as Imajin and 3LW. In her early 20s, she became the lead singer of the group Fortune 457. The group performed at Howard Homecoming and shared stages with artists such as Solange and Natasha Bedingfield during the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Female contest, where they placed in the top three. They were also featured in the March 2009 issue of Cosmopolitan. At 16, Klisha signed with Carson-Adler Agency, where she was represented by Shirley Faison (mother of Donald Faison of Clueless and Scrubs). She went on to book principal roles on the CBS series NYC 22, executive produced by Robert De Niro, and in films written and directed by Eric Weber, including A New Jersey Christmas and Emily and Tim, which featured Phylicia Rashad, Olympia Dukakis, and Alexis Bledel. While she loved being in front of the camera, Klisha also enjoyed working behind the scenes. From 2007 to 2014, she worked as a production assistant for the Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and MTV Awards. In the summer of 2013, she worked on her first television series, The Leftovers on HBO, as a production assistant. It was there that she met her husband, Martin Peterson, who was also working as a production assistant during a hiatus from his main role in the camera department on Blue Bloods. Klisha later introduced Martin to the Lord, and they were baptized at Times Square Church in March 2014. They both served in the puppet ministry and remained active members for several years.Klisha is also deeply passionate about helping children with special needs through natural approaches. She has a strong interest in holistic wellness and is often encouraged to pursue formal education in the field. She enjoys researching lifestyle changes and supplements that may support gut health and overall well-being in children.Today, Klisha is a homeschool mom who has recently reignited her acting career. In a full-circle moment, her high school friend Anthony Rue II-who first gave her an opportunity in the entertainment industry and whom she later helped lead to the Lord-is now her agent working under her former agent, Shirley Faison, who owns Adunni Rose Talent Agency.Married in 2014, Klisha and her husband, Martin, are blessed with four children and reside in Parlin, New Jersey.
