The 1970s in Britain were a time of huge change. With a backdrop of terrorism, violence, political discourse and social tension, it was inevitable that the music scene would also change and reflect what life was really like on the streets.By 1976, with the country also facing financial ruin, a musical sea change of epic proportions not seen since the birth of rock 'n' roll two decades earlier descended on the UK.
