Cool Cymru Collection is the creation of photographer Terry Morris and features Bryn Terfel, Ioan Gruffud, Shirley Bassey, Gavin Henson, Rhys Ifans, Stuart Cable, Ryan Giggs, Charlotte Church and Joe Calzaghe as you have never seen them before. Welsh journalist, Andy Pearson, interviews the celebrities and documents each photo shoot with a detailed look 'behind-the-scenes'.

This book makes an inspiring gift for all ages, with photo shoots of Welsh idols Rhys Ifans and Ryan Giggs, amongst many. Cool Cymru Collection is in support of Welsh charity - the Noah's Ark Appeal.

It is our icons that often define us internationally, acting as ambassadors and promoters to a wider world, which can at times have a scant idea that Wales is a distinct country in its own right, and at home, providing us with the role models to bolster confidence. It is quite possible that the photographer, Terry Morris, had similar thoughts in his head when he conceived the idea of The Cool Cymru Collection. The collection, originally intended as an exhibition of works to raise the profile of the Children's Hospital for Wales, includes some of Wales's most recognizable sons and daughters. Its existence is testament to the photographer's tenacious spirit, and contains not only the final eight images of the chosen icons, but also a photographic and written journey describing how this relatively unknown artist used all the resources open to him (including more than once enlisting the help of the mothers of the rich and famous!) to get the right people in front of his camera.

Recapturing something of the 1990s Cool Cymru sensation, the collection also taps into the unquestionably positive influence of the phenomenon.
