The Oxford English Reference Dictionary

This volume is a revised and updated development of the "Oxford Encyclopedic English Dictionary". The 120,000 entries of core language coverage have been revised and expanded with new words in the language and increased science coverage. The 11,000 entries on people and places have been reconsidered, expanded and updated to cover the events of the last 3 years. In a larger format than the OEED, this dictionary also offers 100 pages of appendices including: world chronologies; countries and leaders; science information; helpful diagrams on music, architecture and sport; and a wealth of information of English usage, punctuation and proverbs; plus a 16-page, full-colour world map section (including all the new nations of Eastern Europe).
