When a debilitating injury forces Audrey to reprioritize her life, she is pulled away from a fast-paced career in Washington, D.C., toward a simpler life on the Appalachian Trail. As she follows spring north, meeting and befriending a colorful cast of characters along the way, she is faced with freezing cold, sweltering heat, roaring wind, countless pointless ups and downs, swarms of mosquitos, poison ivy, illness, injury, and heartbreak. Audrey is tested both physically and mentally but finds strength and joy in the magic of the trail and the friendships that she forges along her journey from Georgia to Maine.
