Michelle is a director and playwright from Essex recently working on artist-led programme Future Forms with the Donmar Warehouse.
Michelle was a 2019 recipient of the Regional Theatre Young Director Scheme working on a three month placement with the Mercury Theatre Colchester as well as one of their 15 Mercury Playwrights (2020-21).
Her first play, Orchid, won two awards at its first outing at the Moors Theatre (Camden Fringe) in 2015 (Best New Writing & Best Actress: Michelle Payne) and her play Full Circle won Best in Fringe at the Brewery Fringe Festival 2018 in Romford.
Michelle is currently working on new pop musical
Enthusiastically, Yes with singer/songwriter Craig Webb which has been long-listed for the Aria Entertainment and ALP Chamber Musical competition as well as writing the third year show for PPA's Acting for Stage & Screen course.
Michelle is also an acting and script writing tutor for the West End Kids company, Damien Poole Theatre Arts and artistic director of Savi Arts creative training for under represented voices.
Michelle is represented by Helen Mumby at the Soho Agency
